Sourcing rules

  1. Official first. Prices, system requirements, trial terms, version numbers and feature claims about Logic Pro come from apple.com, support.apple.com, Apple release notes or the Logic Pro User Guide. Claims about other DAWs come from the vendor's own pages.
  2. Reputable press second. When Apple has not published a fact, we cite a named publication such as Sound On Sound, 9to5Mac or MacRumors and link the article.
  3. Each claim carries its source. Every page lists the pages consulted, and figures in tables are attributed to the page they came from.
  4. Paraphrase, do not copy. We describe what a source says in our own words and keep any direct quotation short.
  5. Say when we could not verify. If a vendor fact could not be confirmed, the page says to check the vendor's current page and links it.

How facts are dated

Every page shows a Last checked date: the day its facts were last compared against their sources. Platform notes state the Logic Pro version and operating system the documentation was checked against. When a source changes, the page and its date are updated.

What we never do

  • We do not claim personal test sessions or hands-on results. Statements are attributed to Apple's documentation or the vendor, not to experiments we did not run.
  • We do not invent benchmarks, performance numbers or user statistics.
  • We do not give advice on piracy, cracked software, licence bypasses, hackintosh builds or running Logic Pro in virtual machines or on unsupported hardware.
  • We do not state that Intel Macs run Logic Pro 12, because Apple's requirements list Apple silicon only.
  • We do not publish sponsored content or accept payment for coverage.

Affiliate disclosure

Logic Pro Files has no affiliate links. Links to Apple, Ableton, Image-Line and any other vendor are ordinary links and the site earns nothing when you click them or buy. The site has no sponsors and no advertising.

Corrections policy

Send errors to [email protected] with the page URL and a source for the correct fact. We check the source, fix the page and update its Last checked date. For material errors, such as a wrong price or requirement, the fix is noted on the page. We read every message but do not guarantee a response time. See contact for what to include.
